Well, um ... how to explain ...

Shing kind of ... got hit by one of the weird happenings of this place. Luckily, we have a friend who knows about his new abilities, but he wants to stay with us and make sure he can control things if they go haywire at all. Are you okay with that?

I get the feeling Kohaku is half-trolling in her responses ...

Rin says that he's gotten the abilities of a demon from his world, one named ... Amaimon, if I'm remembering this right. A demon of Earth.

He's calmed down for the time being, but Rin's warned us that he'll probably have enhanced strength, and that he shouldn't be losing control of his emotions.

[ in a lower voice, trying to make it so that Shing can't hear. Of course, Shing probably has enhanced hearing right now and can hear anyway ... but Kohaku, as someone not used to all of the demon things, isn't really thinking about that right now. She's just being a worried girlfriend. ]

He's acting like he's doing all right, but he's really hesitant to do a lot of things he normally does ... I want to help him feel better during this whole thing, you know?
